How to use BachaMap to find your next bachata festival

March 24, 2026

We built BachaMap because finding bachata festivals shouldn't feel like detective work. No more digging through Instagram stories, scrolling Facebook groups, or asking in WhatsApp chats just to figure out what's happening next month. Everything lives in one place now, and this guide will show you how to get the most out of it.

If you prefer watching over reading, we made a quick video walkthrough that covers everything below.

Start With the Map

When you land on BachaMap, the first thing you'll see is the map. Every pin represents a festival. Zoom in to a region, click any pin, and instantly see the festival name, dates, city, and a quick snapshot of the lineup. If you're more of a scroller, there's a list view running alongside the map. Both stay in sync, so filtering on one updates the other.

Use the Filters Like a Dancer

This is where BachaMap really shines. Say you've got a free weekend in June and a budget of €150. Set your date range, set the full pass price cap, and instantly see only the festivals that fit. Toggle on the Jack & Jill filter if you want a competition. Filter by dance style if you're looking for events that mix in kizomba or zouk.

You can also search by artist. If your favourite instructor is someone you'd travel to see, type their name and BachaMap will show you every festival they're confirmed for. There's even a distance filter so you can find festivals within driving range of where you are.

Explore a Festival in Detail

Tap into any festival's detail page and you'll find the full lineup with headliners highlighted, ticket pricing broken down by pass type (full pass, party pass, VIP, workshops only), nearby airports with distances, hotel recommendations, and direct links to the festival's website and socials. If a price increase is coming soon, BachaMap will flag it so you can grab your pass before it goes up.

Follow Artists and Browse by Region

Every instructor on BachaMap has a profile page showing their upcoming and past festival appearances. Instead of checking ten different websites, just visit their profile and it's all in one timeline.

Not sure where to start? Browse dedicated pages by country, city, or month. Want to see everything in Spain? There's a page for that. Planning around July? Browse all July 2026 festivals on a single page. These are great for sharing too — just send the link to a friend who asks "what's happening this summer."

Help Keep It Accurate

If you spot something wrong — whether it's an outdated lineup, incorrect dates, or a missing festival — submit a suggestion directly from the site. Organizers can claim their festival listing, and artists can claim their profile. Every correction goes through a review to keep things trustworthy.

Go Find Your Next Festival

BachaMap is free, kept up to date, and built for the way dancers actually think about festivals. Open the map, play with the filters, and start planning.

See you on the dance floor.
